Welcome to the POCUS–AI Workshop

The POCUS–AI Workshop focuses on artificial intelligence applications for point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). This workshop highlights recent advances in AI that enhance ultrasound interpretation, improve diagnostic accuracy, and reduce operator dependence in clinical practice.

Pocket-sized, portable POCUS devices are increasingly used due to their non-ionizing nature and real-time imaging capabilities. Despite their growing adoption, variability in operator expertise and interpretation remains a key barrier. AI offers solutions through automated image analysis, video summarization, and emerging clinical applications.

Impact Statement

This workshop aims to accelerate the advancement and adoption of AI in POCUS. By bringing together leading researchers, clinicians, engineers, and industry experts, the workshop fosters collaboration to develop reliable, scalable, and automated AI tools. Outcomes include improved diagnostic accuracy, wider access in resource-limited settings, and advancement of patient care globally.
